I used to wonder why we rarely see mosaics for sale in galleries. And then I started making them and I learned why. They take for freakin’ ever to make! Almost no one would be willing to pay what they cost to create. But I decided to explore this medium anyway. Most of these are labours of love - either experiments in learning how to make mosaics or gifts made for loved ones. From a stylistic perspective (similar to my stained glass), a large majority of these pieces contain nearly the full range of the colour spectrum. I keep trying to pare down my colour palette but over and over, they seem to keep insisting on all being included.
